Jewelry CARE

We know how important your jewelry is to you and your Marina B creations deserve our utmost attention. By entrusting it to Marina B, you will be preserving the beauty and longevity of the metal and gemstones.

We recommend the following daily considerations, so that they are preserved as long as possible:

  • Be sure to handle your jewelry with care.
  • Remove your jewelry when washing your hands or using corrosive products that could permanently damage precious metal, stones or pearls.
  • Take your regular activities into consideration when wearing your jewelry, including potential for impact.
  • Keep your jewelry away from intense sources of heat and extreme temperature changes.

To maintain the luster of gold, you should delicately wipe your jewelry with a polishing cloth routinely. If needed, you can clean your jewelry by soaking it in some warm water with dish soap (using only soap with a neutral ph), using a soft brush to remove any dirt. Ensure the piece is completely dried by patting it with a soft cloth. We do not recommend using any at-home abrasive jewelry cleaners, steamers or machines, which can damage the jewelry.

Titanium is an exceptionally strong and lightweight material, but care should be taken to not overstretch it. Clean by rinsing it with lukewarm water, and gently remove any dirt with a soft brush. Dry with a lint-free cloth.

Diamonds are the strongest naturally occurring substance on Earth. Despite their exceptional toughness and hardness, diamonds can still get damaged, so be sure to avoid direct contact with surfaces. To keep the stones shining, clean them in warm water and liquid soap, and wipe away with a soft cloth to remove any dirt.

Part of the Corundum family, these colored gems are the second hardest material after Diamonds. Be sure to avoid extreme temperature changes to maintain the color of the colored gemstones. You can shine the stones with the polishing cloth, or if necessary, warm water and soap of a natural pH. Emerald measures at 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale, indicating a fair to good toughness, meaning it requires more care in wearing than a ruby or sapphire. Even so, emeralds are beautiful stones for all types of jewelry and, with proper car,e will last for generations.

A variety of Beryl, Emerald is known for a fair to good toughness, requiring more care than other stones. Despite this, these are beautiful stones that with proper care will last for generations. To preserve the natural color intensity of Emeralds be careful to avoid extreme light, temperature and chemicals, such as oils and resins, which may alter the appearance of the stone. Polish regularly with a soft clean cloth to keep the stone shining. For deeper cleaning, Use warm, soapy (of a neutral pH) water coupled with gentle scrubbing.

When it is not being worn, always store your jewelry in its protective pouch and box that arrives with each piece. To prevent unnecessary damage to your gold jewelry, be sure to store each piece flat.
